The world is changing at a pace that most institutions — governments, universities, investment funds, corporations — were not designed to handle. Disruption is no longer an occasional event. It is the permanent condition.
Artificial intelligence, climate change, geopolitical fragmentation, the erosion of public trust: these are not problems that can be managed with existing tools and existing frameworks. They require a fundamentally different approach to innovation, to investment, and to the relationship between business and society.
Bondo Foundation was established in Brussels on 31 December 2025 to build that approach.
The Foundation exists to engage with and support research into disruptive phenomena — understanding what drives them, how they unfold, and how their effects can be managed to create positive, lasting change rather than harm.
We pursue this purpose through four interconnected activities:
We conduct and coordinate evidence-based research into disruptive phenomena, innovation ecosystems, and the conditions under which positive change becomes possible and sustainable. Our academic network spans Europe and beyond.
We are building and governing bondo.ai, a digital platform that digitalises the European innovation ecosystem and connects all its players — ventures, investors, talent, governments, experts and research institutions — with precision and at scale. bondo.ai brings six breakthrough innovations to the ecosystem, from AI-powered matching to ProBondo, our Relationship Currency that makes invisible contributions to ventures visible and valuable.
We initiate and support research into sustainable impact projects, and we invest alongside other impact-seeking organisations in ventures that create exceptional positive change in the world.
We share knowledge aligned with our Mission through books, e-books and video-books published under the Bondo Publishing imprint.
Everything we do is governed by six principles. These are not aspirations — they are the operating standards against which we measure every decision.
We are building an army of 1,000 Impact Unicorns for Europe — companies that tackle major human problems, build sustainable and investable models, operate with transparent governance, and share value equitably across communities.
Bondo Foundation is a fondation d'utilité publique under Belgian law, governed by a Board of Administrators. The Foundation was established by three founders — Christian Aspegren, Sénamé Agbossou and August Keder — who serve as Founding Administrators for life. The governance structure is designed to be independent, transparent and accountable to a broad coalition of European stakeholders over time.
